Civic Leadership Council (CLC) is part of the Pace Center for Civic Engagement and has the mission of “fostering an environment of community-building and professional skill development for Princeton students involved in civic engagement efforts through a learning experience that will enable members to act as leaders in their respective communities and future endeavors.”

The CLC's 5 main value-adds are:

  • Learn how to design impactful initiatives, focusing on the ideation phase and the design thinking process.
  • Work in teams to implement creative, meaningful service projects in areas like education, political engagement, health, racial justice, and hunger and homelessness.
  • Volunteer monthly with our community partners in the local New Jersey area.
  • Learn from trailblazing guest speakers who are making a positive social impact in their careers.
  • Lead and receive mentorship. Our organization is structured so that everyone can be a leader and has a stake in the decision-making. Organize workshops related to service and professional development. Receive mentorship and be part of our unique community that cares about your personal growth both during your time at CLC and for all the years to come.

What CLC does:

  • Professional skill development workshops
  • Council-wide Service Projects
  • Internal working groups
