As the 2019-2020 academic year comes to a close, the John H. Pace, Jr. '39 Center for Civic Engagement is pleased to announce that Karina Aguilar Guerrero '20  is the 2020 recipient of the Priscilla Glickman '92 Memorial Prize. The prize is awarded to a Princeton senior who has demonstrated independence and imagination in the area of community service, seeks knowledge and purposeful adventure in unfamiliar cultures, and maintains strong academic work. Guerrero recently connected with the Program Coordinator Evan Schneider to discuss the prize, her motivations for her community service, and her passion for academic exploration as part of the center's Let's Talk About ... podcast. 

In the interview, Guerrero, a Spanish and Portuguese major, explores how her high school experiences and status as a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) student have informed and motivated her activities at Princeton. Schneider and Guerrero also discuss how her time at Princeton has taught her valuable lessons about how to do service through focusing on helping individuals, her interests in education and policy work, and her enthusiasm for learning from other countries and cultures. Other topics include Guerrero's favorite memories from Princeton, her talent for planning road trips, and her love of late night Taco Bell.
