What motivates you to serve? How do you connect what you value with the service you do? Designed for those who are beginning a new service opportunity, this training will equip you with the knowledge needed to have a successful and meaningful service experience. During this 2 hour session, you will identify your values, recognize and challenge assumptions, consider practices to improve your volunteer experience, spot communication obstacles in your work with others, and develop strategies to support a successful service experience. Through conversation and interactive activities, you will have an opportunity to explore what motivates you to serve and how to do service well. In addition, you will have the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice through navigating various scenarios.
