Community House’s student-driven education programs work with families to close the achievement gap in Princeton by offering support in the areas of academic success and social-emotional literacy for underrepresented area youth.Founded in 1969 by an interracial group of Princeton University undergraduates, Community House works with students from preschool and kindergarten all the way up to when they launch into college. Community House joined the Pace Center for Civic Engagement in 2007 and resides on the third floor of the Carl A. Fields Center on Prospect Avenue in Princeton, NJ. Community House invites students, staff and faculty to serve with it's after school programs which provide academic and social-emotional support as well as enrichment activities to local underrepresented youth. Volunteers will provide homework support, help students prepare for exams, and facilitate enrichment activities.
