Allyship Through Service Training

Sun, Feb 24, 2019, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Frist Campus Center Seminar 309

What is allyship? How are you positioned in relation to communities to practice it? This workshop provides an opportunity to understand the answers to these critical questions and how to be an ally within your service experiences. Through small group conversations and interactive activities, you’ll have the chance to explore the ways you connect with communities and what you uniquely bring to each service experience. After taking time to reflect on your personal definition of allyship and what it means to be an “ally” to those you serve, you’ll get to practice navigating real life scenarios where allyship comes into play.

All are welcome!
