Tabling FAQs From PAAS (Princeton Activism & Advocacy Student Board)

We recommend having a trifold style board to showcase your group and potentially promotional materials such as flyers or pamphlets. We also highly encourage having a google form/QR code or paper to take down names and emails of people who may be interested in joining your group so you can reach out later or add them to your listserv.

Existing posters and boards for tabling are in the Frist Pace Center office. They will be available to pick/edit the first week of classes. You can also get new boards and supplies at the Frist lounge.

Include your group name, pictures, your mission, and anything you think embodies your goals for the year Try to keep things neat, legible, and easy for the viewer. The more eye catching, the better since it will be a busy space.

Absolutely! It is encouraged that you have something for people to hold onto because they are more apt to search your organization later, and candy is always a tasty recruitment tactic. If you have access to promotional materials, you can include them, but it is not expected. Consider interesting ways to draw attention to your booth (leftover swag, a catchy phrase, bubbles, etc. Get creative!)

Make sure to have at least two people available at all times to help at the fair. More is welcome! We recommend taking shifts. Reach out in advance to your current members to see who is available to help out.

Choose people who can give a 1-2 minute elevator pitch with information about your group, communities/partners you’re working with, what service and activism will look like for you this year, the roles people can take in their involvement, average time commitment, etc.

Yes, if it is not hindering other groups from their tabling efforts, you are welcome to include games, dances or demos at your table.
