The Vera Institute of Justice seeks to end the criminalization of people of color, immigrants, and people experiencing proverty; drastically reduce the use of jails, prison, and detention centers; center dignity and minimize the harms of the criminal legal and immigration system involvement; and support safe and thriving communities.
