Student Volunteers Council

Arts & HumanitiesThe Student Volunteers Council (SVC) supports impactful service organizations and empowers student leaders and volunteers of more than 30 regular volunteering projects.

The SVC believes in five core values:

  • Fostering project growth and professionalism
  • Facilitating reflection and awareness

The Student Volunteers Council is one of the largest student-run organization at Princeton University. Heir to a long tradition of student volunteerism at Princeton, the SVC dates back to the establishment of the Philadelphian Society in 1825, affiliated with the Office of Religious Life. In 1967 the SVC adopted its current organizational structure and since joined the Pace Center in 2007. The SVC is led by a student board of directors who are supported by the Dave Brown, Assistant Director at the Pace Center for Civic Engagement.
