PEEK is a project focused on enriching STEM education at the elementary school and middle school level right here in Princeton, a few minutes from campus. Our goal is both to teach students the basic principles of engineering and to instill a passion for STEM early on. Lessons are hands-on and last about one hour, ranging from building the fastest LEGO cars to the strongest bridges, the tallest towers, and the most functional snap circuits.
When: We visit each classroom for about 1 hour per week for a rotation of typically 4 weeks. We often have multiple rotations in a semester, scheduled whenever is convenient for both the teachers and the volunteers.
Where: Meet on campus and serve off campus.
