  • New Puttkammer '58 Prisoner Reentry Fellowship Position coming soon!

    The Charles W. Puttkammer ’58 Prisoner Reentry Fellowship program is open to Princeton seniors and plans to place a 2012 graduate in a one-year, paid position with the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJ DOC), Office of Educational Services located in Trenton, NJ. The tenure for this position is one year, with a negotiable start date of summer/fall 2012 and an end date of summer/fall 2013.

    The pre-medical community at Princeton is a thriving one. A large percentage of students during their time as an undergrad describe themselves as “pre-med,” and intend to pursue a medical degree after Princeton. Still others are interested in medicine in a different light, through programs like the Global Health and Health Policy certificate, or classes such as Medical Anthropology. And although  there are many clubs and organizations that deal with human health and its implications, it can be hard for students interested in four-legged health to find an outlet for their passion.

  • Leading from Within: Educating Girls and Empowering Communities

    The Pace Center for Civic Engagement is sponsoring an event this week to expand student’s interest in empowering communities by developing leaders through education and economics. This Thursday, April 19th, beginning at 5:00 pm at the Carl Fields Center, Dr. Kakenya Ntaiya will speak about her involvement with the Kakenya Center for Excellence, a school that she established in her village to empower girls in Kenya and fight back against the far-too-common practices of female genital mutilation and child marriage.
