Car/Van Certification

CAR and VAN CERTIFICATION STEPS

Students must first register for and complete an on-line test required by Public Safety to drive both cars and vans for the University.

To register for your account to access the online training, you will need to go to http://www.s2learning.com/Princeton_SelfRegistration.htm.

Once you are registered for the training, you will go to http://s2learning.mrooms3.net to log in and take the training. You will need to disable any pop-up blockers to review your content.

Next, bring a printout of the test score certificate to the Pace Center in Frist 201D along with a valid Driver's License during car certification hours.* While at Pace, you will both complete a Driver History Questionnaire and watch a 14 minute safety video.

* Car Certification Hours:

  • Monday  -  9:15am – 11:00am
  • Tuesday  -  3:00pm – 4:45pm
  • Thursday – 3:00pm – 4:45pm

Contact Sue Braun at sbraun@princeton.edu with any questions.

Becoming / Why become Van Certified?

Being Van Certified gives you an edge in obtaining a Pace Center vehicle when the weekly schedule gets very hectic, especially on Friday afternoons. We don’t have giant cargo vans; only Mini-Vans.Van Certifications are administered through Public Safety. You must access their scheduling system to arrange a road test:------Use only Mozilla Firefox to access the Van Certification schedulingsystem (see #3 here: http://web.princeton.edu/sites/publicsafety/FleetSafety.htm)

The actual road test takes about an hour.

PLEASE NOTE:  Pace Center vehicles are used only for regular weekly community service projects recognized by the Pace Center. If you are unsure if your volunteer project qualifies, please e-mail sbraun@princeton.edu

That moment took me away from the theory and rhetoric and politics of education reform and put me squarely in the middle of the lives of people who are most affected by the achievement gap.
